ITTF; Racket Control Regulations to be Changed

Racket Control Regulations, The ITTF Board of Directors Meeting was held today 29 March 2012 at Westfallenhallen Congress Centre in Dortmund. Here are the main decisions:

Junior Championships:

The next World Junior Table Tennis Championships will be organised in Shanghai, China in 2014, and in Vendée, France in 2015.

Racket control:

Racket control shall be carried out after the match only when the player does not submit the racket for a pre-match testing.

Plastic ball:

For production reasons, the plastic ball will be introduced not before July 2014.

Sports betting:

The code of conduct on sports betting for players and officials is to be introduced immediately.

World Cups:

From 2013, Continental Cups will serve as qualification events for the World Cups.
