Lausanne, July 07, 2012: Olympic Website, “Welcome to the IJF Judo Hero Page, created especially for Judoka, Fans and Press in order to provide an easy place to find information, pictures and videos of the participants in the Judo Competition at the 2012 London Olympic Games.”
It is with those words that the IJF President, Mr. Marius Vizer, welcomes internet users of the new website launched by the International Judo Federation on the occasion of the upcoming Olympic Games. From July 28th to August 3rd, 387 athletes, coming from 133 countries (116 qualified and 17 invited), will be competing in the Excel Exhibition and Conference Centre for the ultimate title. http://london.ijf.org
The IJF invites you to discover all the athletes, one by one, their interviews, best results, picture gallery and videos of the today’s judo heros. In the Best Results Section, you can have access to the whole draw sheet. Information can be filtered by name, by country or continent and a preview of each weight category can be found. For each athlete, information such as the World Ranking position, the number of points and the qualification quota (direct, continental or invited) are displayed.
