Women’s World Championship 2013 in Serbia

Basle, Sept 22, 2013: All international handball fans, who want to attend the Women’s World Championship 2013 in Serbia (6 – 22 December), can purchase their tickets online from now on. As announced by the Serbian Handball Federation RSS, tickets can be bought via the official ticketing system:

Ticket packages for certain stages are sold with a considerable discount until 6 October. Those packages are available for the preliminary round venues Zrenjanin, Belgrade (Pionir Arena), Nis and Novi Sad and also for the final stage from eighth-finals to final for the Arena in Belgrade.

From 6 October also single tickets (match day tickets/three matches included) are available via the website. The tickets are sold in five categories, starting at 15 Euro (15.000 Serbian Dinar) for the full preliminary round in category five.

For both venues of the knock-out stage, Belgrade and Novi Sad, designated packages for the eighth-finals and the quarter-finals are also on sale from 12 to 120 Euro. The discounted ticket packages for the final weekend for both semi-finals, bronze final and final (20-22 December) range from 25 to 200 Euro.

The venues for the 2013 Women’s World Championship in Serbia are:

Pionir Arena (preliminary round group A with Montenegro, France, Netherlands, Korea, Congo, Dominican Republic) and Kombank Arena (eighth-final to final) in Belgrade

Sport Center Cair in Nis (preliminary round group B with Serbia, Brazil, Denmark, Japan, China, Algeria – and President’s Cup)

Chrystal Hall in Zrenjanin (preliminary round group C with Norway, Poland, Angola, Spain, Argentina, Paraguay)

Spens Arena in Novi Sad (preliminary round group D with Hungary, Romania, Germany, Tunisia, Czech Republic and Australia – and eighth-finals and quarter-finals)

The preliminary round will take place from 6 December (opening match Serbia vs. Japan in Nis only) until 13 December followed by the President’s Cup and the eighth-finals (15/16 December each), the quarter-finals (18 December) and the final weekend (20-22 December).

And as in the last Women’s World Championship 2011 in Brazil no placements matches for the ranking positions 5-16 will take place. —- IHF
