Nicole Delaloye no longer among us

A gymnast from her youth, she was swift to attract the attention of selectors, who promoted her to member of the national team. Swiss national champion in 1974, she participated in several world championships. After her time in active competition, Nicole Delaloye took a seat on the FIG international judges’ college and was selected, notably, for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta (USA).
At the national level, she played some of the most important roles in the development of gymnastics and the organisation of national and international events in Switzerland. With a practical background in the field, Delaloye made a name for herself within the Swiss gymnastics community through her commitment and abilities.
In 1997, she was asked by Lausanne organisers of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships to run the competitions, a mandate which she completed with expertise and talent.
