15th PSO Pakistan ITF Seniors Tennis Championship 2011

Karachi-Pakistan, STA Press Release: A media Briefing to organize “15th PSO Pakistan ITF Seniors World Ranking Tennis Championships” was held at Karachi Club. Khawaja Saeed Hai, President Pakistan Seniors Tennis Association, Sheikh Muhammed Minhas Manager Brand Management PSO, Yousuf Suleman, Secretary Karachi Club and M. Khalid Rehmani Secretary Pakistan Seniors Tennis Association addressed the joint media briefing (ITF Seniors Tennis Championship).

On this ocassion, other prominent present were Gulzar Firoz, Jamal mirza, Ilyas Lashkerwala, Altaf Hussain, Javed Yousuf, Naseem Qureshi and Size able representatives of print & electronic media were also present.

With great pride and satisfaction I would like to inform that 2011 has become a significant mile stone in the international Seniors Tennis History of Pakistan & Asia. As it is the first time in history that any nation is going to hold third ITF world ranking seniors event in a calendar year in Asia as well as in Pakistan.

In 2010, Pakistan & India organized two ITF seniors events each and, UAE, Thailand, Turkey and Malaysia organized one each.
This year Pakistan had organized PIA – ITF Seniors in March, last week one such event in Lahore and now PSO – Pakistan ITF Seniors Tennis Championship from 22nd November here at leading Tennis Club of country, Karachi Club.

Pakistan Seniors Tennis Association is grateful to Pakistan State Oil for their continuous patronage of Seniors Tennis for the last eight years. We also thankful management & members of Karachi Club and Media for their very generous and dedicated support for all the tennis activities in the country.

Though entry dead line is 18th November we have received confirmation from two foreign players who are in country for some other assignments; one is from Georgia and one from Germany. Five players from Baluchistan, 2 players from Panjab, 4 from Hyderabad, One from Khyber Pakhtoon Khwah have also confirmed their participation. Prominent who confirmed their participation are, Rasheed Malik, Altaf Hussain, Sabih Wali, Israr Gul & Muhammed Abdul Saeed.
