1st Women’s Challenge Cup Hockey Tournament

Lahore – Pakistan, Dec 30: The Inaugural Ceremony of 1st Women’s Challenge Cup Hockey Tournament was performed by Mrs. Chetna Batra w/o Dr. Narinder Batra, Secretary General HOCKEY INDIA at National Hockey Stadium, Pitch-II, Lahore on 30th December 2012 on the 2nd match between WAPDA/PUNJAB. On the occasion, Olympian Muhammad Asif Bajwa, Secretary General PHF, Olympian Rana Mujahid Ali, Associate Secretary PHF, Organising Secretary Miss. Saman Rashid, Tournament Director Miss. Parveen Sikander Gill, Olympian Anjum Saeed, Olympian Danish Kaleem, Olympian Muhammad Akhlaq and officials of DHA Lahore were also present.

1st Match

ARMY                   vs                RAILWAYS

ARMY: Rashida (FG).

RAILWAYS: Hina Kanwal (FG).

2nd Match

WAPDA                vs                PUNJAB

PUNJAB: Iqra (PC).

On 31st December, two matches will be played:-

First Match: SINDH VS RAILWAYS at 1130 hrs.

Lahore – Pakistan, Dec 30: Qasim ZIA, President PHF, Muhammad Asif Bajwa, Secretary General PHF, Olympian Rana Mujahid Ali, Olympian Danish Kaleem, Olympian Khawaja Muhammad Junaid, and Olympian Muhammad Akhlaq have offered heart-felt condolences on the sad demise of Malik Asif Brother of Olympian Asad Malik, Olympian Saeed Anwar (Late) and Uncle of Olympian Anjum Saeed, who passed away on 29th December 2012.

Qasim Zia, Muhammad Asif Bajwa and PHF Staff prayed that Allah Almighty may rest the departed soul in His Infinite Mercy and also prayed fortitude for the members of the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. Aameen.
