Sochi 2014 Announces Its Supplier of Network Equipment

Sochi 2014 News: Avaya, the global provider of business collaboration and communications solutions, was today named as the Sochi 2014 supplier in category of “Network equipment.” The agreement was signed during the annual Sochi 2014 Marketing Club in Sochi by Dmitry Chernyshenko, President of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee and David Johnson, Executive Director of Sponsorships & Major Event for Avaya.

As the Official Supplier of Network Equipment to the Sochi 2014 Winter Games, Avaya will be a part of the overall Games technology solutions providing the network, collaboration and communications equipment and working with the other technology partners that will allow athletes, dignitaries and fans worldwide to experience the full communications power of the Olympic Games.

Avaya’s equipment will be used while creating the common telecommunications infrastructure for the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi. Their equipments will help interconnect venues, the media center, athlete’s village and other Olympic infrastructure facilities and help deliver a high quality experience to every spectator, family member and fan within Russia and across the globe.

The solution will consist of data network equipment solutions, including switches, routers and security, as well as collaboration equipment such as telephone and contact center systems. Avaya will also provide engineers and technicians to design and test the systems.
