By Sujit Jasani, Paris, April 24, 2016: the French capital city bidding to host the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, has reaffirmed its capabilities and experience in hosting international sports events in the heart of the city after the Visa Paris ePrix attracted more than 15,000 fans for round seven of the FIA governed Formula E series.
The circuit was located at the Hôtel national des Invalides, the proposed Archery venue for the 2024 Games. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Musée de l’Armée, the race was also in close proximity to several other proposed 2024 venues including the iconic Eiffel Tower which will overlook the Beach Volleyball competition and the River Seine which will become a ‘river trail’ of live sites, sports demonstration and sponsor activation zones bringing the Games to life in the heart of Paris.
