IOC Executive Board meeting in Lausanne in December – Information for the media

International Olympic Committee, Press Release, Nov 16, 2011: The Executive Board (EB) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will meet in Lausanne on 7 and 8 December 2011 (IOC Executive Board meeting Lausanne).

On the first day, the EB will have a joint meeting with the Executive Council of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) and will hear reports from IOC commissions. On day two, the EB will receive updates on the activities of the IOC administration and hear about preparations for the forthcoming Olympic Games, London 2012, Sochi 2014, Rio de Janeiro 2016 and Pyeong Chang 2018.

The EB will also receive a full update on the upcoming first Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck in January 2012 and hear about preparations for the second Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing in 2014. Media representatives wishing to cover the meetings are requested to confirm their attendance via the IOC website.

A working area for the media will be set up in the Vancouver 2010, London 2012 and Sochi 2014 meeting rooms. The IOC headquarters is equipped with wireless.
