FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™: Official Poster unveiled

Zurich, March 10, 2019: The Official Poster for the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019 was unveiled in Paris on Friday to coincide with International Women’s Day.

The bespoke design of the Official Poster reflects the cultural creed of this tournament: ensuring a level playing field for women’s football and empowerment through football for girls, women and society in general.

With a woman’s face as the central feature, set against the background of a football, the work of art encapsulates the essence of this eighth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup:

The shards of bright yellow light in the poster reflect light and illumination – the key elements of the creative concept for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 – captured by the tournament’s Official Slogan: Dare to Shine™.

Her hair is slightly windswept in a nod to female empowerment sweeping the globe.

Expression determines and her gaze ambitious, echoing the skills of each of the 24 teams competing and their desire to become FIFA Women’s World Cup champions.

The Official Poster unveiled beside those of each of the nine Host Cities at the Galerie Celal (45 Rue Saint-Honoré)

Paris and will be available for public viewing on Saturday and Sunday, 9 and 10 March from 13:00 to 18:00 CET.

Entry to Galerie Celal to view the Official Poster and the Host City posters is free of charge.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019 will take place from 7 June to 7 July and feature 24 teams contesting 52 matches in nine Host Cities:

Grenoble, Le Havre, Lyon, Montpellier, Nice, Paris, Reims, Rennes and Valenciennes. —- FIFA
