Media accreditation FIFA Club World Cup Japan

Zurich – Switzerland, Oct 15, 2012: The media accreditation process for the FIFA Club World Cup Japan 2012 presented by TOYOTA is now open. The competition will be held in Toyota and Yokohama from 6-16 December 2012. The deadline for media applications is Friday, 16 November 2012.

The competition will feature Club de Futbol Monterrey (Mexico), Corinthians (Brazil), Auckland City FC (New Zealand) and Chelsea FC (England). These four clubs will be joined by the respective winners of the AFC Champions League and CAF Champions League, and the winners of Japan’s J-League. (If the winners of the AFC Champions League are from Japan, the J-League slot will be taken by the AFC Champions League runner-up).

Media accreditation via the FIFA Media Channel is only for written press, photographers and Non-Rights Holders (NRHs, media entities that have not acquired the rights for the broadcast coverage of the event).

There is a separate accreditation process for Media Rights Licensees (MRLs) that is serviced by Dentsu of Japan. For further queries regarding accreditation or media rights, please contact fcwc-tv@dentsu.co.jp.

Approval to access the FIFA Media Channel does not mean you have been granted accreditation. The media accreditation process for any FIFA competition requires the completion of an accreditation form via the FIFA Media Channel that is specific to the event.
