Peshawar beat Abbotabad by 53 runs in opener of 6th National Disabled T-20 Cricket

Rawalpindi / Islamabad, Feb 13, 2018: Peshawar beat Abbotabad Disabled Cricket Team by 53 runs in the Opening day of 2nd Phase 6th National Disabled T-20 Cricket Championship here on Tuesday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi.

Islamabad Disabled Cricket Team won the toss and decided to field first, Peshawar Team scored 191-6 in 20 overs, Adil Khan (46 in 38 balls with 4×2, 6×2), Azhar Khan (45 in 43 balls with 4×2, 6×2), Wajid Alam (33 in 31 balls with 4×1, 6×1), Hayat Khab 25 in 17 ball 4×1), Abdullah Afridi 17*. Left arms medium pacer Rehmat Ali took 3-42, Left arms spinner Yasir Ali 2-31.

In reply Abbotabad Team were restrict 139-9 in 20 overs, Faisal Hayat (48 in 27 balls with 4×6, 6×2), Latif Ullah (27 in 19 balls with 4×4), M. Hussain (24 in 21 balls with 4×2), Owal Khan scored 19. Slow left armers M. Osama griped 3-17, while Gohar Ali captured 3-26.

Later: Chief Guest Petron PDCA Saleem Karim was giving man of the match award to Gohar Ali.

While the other scheduled matches of opening day at Pindi Stadium, host Rawalpindi Vs Sialkot, at Diamond Cricket Ground Azad Kashmir Vs Islamabad and Lahore Vs FATA were the washout due to heavy rain in Rawalpindi / Islamabad last night and all teams got the one points each according to tournament rules.

Earlier the Opening Ceremony 2nd Phase of 6th National Disabled T-20 Cricket Championship was held at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

On the occasion EVP Marketing and Communications Co-Sponsor PTCL Syed Shahzad Shah was the Chief Guest and Formerly inaugurate the event with Head of Communication Co-Sponsor ICRC Najam-ul-Saqib, former Captain and President PDCA Rashid Latif, Petron PDCA Saleem Karim, Hon. Secretary PDCA Amir Uddin Ansari, Director PDCA Sabih Azhar, Sadiq Khatri and Media Manager Muhammad Nizam participating teams players and officials were also present on the occasion.
