Melbourne, Nov 9: The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 is inviting separate Expressions of Interest (EOIs) in two key service areas associated with the tournament which is being jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand. The first EOI invitation is for companies interested in providing a Ticketing Solution for the tournament; the second is for Marketing Services.
EOI submissions will be evaluated against specific criteria with successful respondents then invited to prepare detailed proposals as part of a tender process. Ultimately, the successful companies will work closely with the LOC which has offices in Melbourne, Australia and Wellington, New Zealand. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 will be played in venues across both countries in February and March 2015.
The LOC requires a comprehensive ticketing solution for the tournament, including customer data collection, database marketing, management of sales of ticket to customers and specific client groups (including return and resale), management of ticket fulfillment and distribution, seat allocation, venue access control and customer support.
Separately, the LOC requires a marketing agency to deliver a comprehensive campaign to generate excitement and anticipation around the tournament and then convert this into ticket sales and other forms of participation. Critical to success will be the application of bespoke research, market segmentation and the latest digital and direct marketing techniques. Agencies will need to demonstrate considerable experience and insights into major events and the cricket culture in Australia and New Zealand.
