Faysal Bank T-20 Cup 2011 25th September – 2nd October at NSK

PCB NEWS: Lahore September 2011: Pakistan Cricket Board, in partnership with Faysal Bank Limited, announces the holding of the The Faysal Bank T-20 Cup 2011. The tournament will commence from 25th September 2011 in Karachi. All matches are to take place at the National Stadium, Karachi and will be telecast live on GEO Super. A total of fourteen teams will be participating in the event. The fourteen teams have been divided into four groups as follows:

Three games will be played per day during the group stage with the group winners progressing to the semi finals. The first and second semi- final will be held on 1st October, 2011 while the final will take place on 2nd October, 2011. The opening match will be played between Abbottabad Falcons and Quetta Bears. Faysal Bank have announced that the winning team will take home Rs 2.5 million as prize money and Rs. 1 million prize money has been announced for the runners up.

Commenting on the event Mr. Subhan Ahmad, COO PCB, said:

“The Faysal Bank T20 tournament has established itself as the premier sporting event in Pakistan. Each year Cricket Fans across Pakistan await the ournament with a tremendous sense of excitement and anticipation. PCB and Faysal Bank have endeavored to ensure that this year’s tournament meets the high standards of success that the National T20 tournaments enjoy. We hope that Karachiites come out in huge numbers to witness what promises to be another thrilling event”.

Three matches will be played every day starting at 12:00pm, 4.00pm and 8:00pm respectively. The schedule of matches is attached:
