Shabbir and Ali Suria conquered the title of 4th PTBF Ranking Tenpin Bowling

Karachi, Feb 27, 2017: According to STBA, Over 100 Male & Female Bowlers played the Finals of 4th PTBF Ranking Tenpin Bowling Tournament 2017 that was organized by Sindh Tenpin Bowling Association on 24th to 26h February at The Royal Rodale Club, DHA, Karachi. The Championship lasts for 4 days participated in Ranking Masters Open Singles, Graded Singles, Women’s, NOVICE/Beginners, Doubles & Team Event categories. From Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar & Karachi. Majority of young players took part actively in NOVICE, Under category. The Ranking Tournament marked a noteworthy effort to enhance the performances of players in National Ranking Event and it received healthy appreciation from the players that resulted in record participation.

RANKING MASTERS: Shabbir Lashkerwala from Karachi leaded the Ranking Event with the total score 574, received PKR 30,000 cash award along with a Winning Trophy, while Daniyal Shah from Karachi was the Runners-up with total 573, received PKR 15,000 with a Runner up trophy, whereas Muhammad Fazil from Karachi secured 3rd position with 566 score and he was awarded PKR 10,000 cash along with a trophy and Hussain Chatha for Islamabad on 4th Position and received Trophy with cash.

OPEN SINGLES: Ali Suria from Karachi win the Open Singles with the score of average Score of 231, received PKR 25,000 cash award along with a Winning Trophy, while Imran Bipra from Karachi was the Runners-up (208 avg), received PKR 12,000 with a Runner up trophy, whereas Defending Champion Ahmer Abbas Saldera secured 3rd position (194 avg) and he was awarded PKR 5,000 cash along with a trophy. And Ijaz ur Rehman from Islamabad Secure 4th position with average of 185 and received trophy with cash award

GRADED SINGLES: Dr Ali Mohsin with stunning performance secured 1st position (192 Avg pts), received PKR 15,000 cash award along with a Winning Trophy, Sarim Kazim was the Runners-up (190 avg), received PKR 10,000 and a Runners up Trophy, Faian Tariq earned 3rd position (165 avg) and he received PKR 15,000 and trophy

NOVICE (Beginners SINGLES): Mohammad Ismail with striking performance scored 1st position ( 157 Avg. received PKR 8,000 cash award along with a Winning Trophy, Faisal Feroz was the Runners-up (154 Avg), received PKR 4,000 and a Runners up Trophy, Abdul Hadi took 3rd Position (147 Avg) and he received PKR 3,000 and trophy

DOUBLES: After the aggressive game play Ahmer Abbas Saldera & Ali Suria secured 1st position and received Rs.20,000 and a Winning Trophies. The 2nd Position was obtained by Aleem Agha & Shabbir Lashkerwala received Rs.16,000 cash prize with Runners up Trophies. The 3rd Position was secured by Muhammad Fazil & Farhan Manya received 6,000 rupees and trophies

DOUBLES GRADED: Faheem Ahmed & Aqeel Iqbal secured 1st position and received Rs.10,000 and a Winning Trophies. The 2nd Position was obtained by Samad Bakhshi & Farhan Raiz and received Rs.6,000 cash prize with Runners up Trophies. The 3rd Position was secured by Sarim Kazim & Abdul Hye received 4,000 rupees and trophies

MIX TEAM: In team events Category Ejaz Ur Rehman Team secure the place in final by defeating the Ali Suria team. The players of Winning Team Daniyal Shah, Ejaz Ur Rehman, Farhaj Ahmed & Muhammad Rizwan graib the Winning Trophy and awarded Rs 24,000 , while team Ali Suria, Ahmer Abbas Saldera, Hanif Silat & Abid Ahmed won Runners-up Trophy and a Rs 16000.while Muhammad Fazil, Farhan Maniya, Muhammad Arshad & Naveed Iqbal secure 3rd position and received Rs.8,000 Cast Award with Trophy.

Muhammad Zubair, Governor of Sindh honoured the Award Ceremony as a Chief Guest accompanied by Sardar Mohammad Baksh Khan Mahar, Minister Sports and Youth Affairs DG, Pakistan Sports Board – Akhtar Nawaz Genjera . The PTBF Management Team, Aleem Agha Sr. Vice President, Ijaz ur rehman , General Secretary and Romis Ali- Organizing Secretary welcomed the worthy Guests. The Chief Guest distributed Cash Awards & Trophies to winning participants. Aleem Agha concluded the ceremony by giving a note of thank to the participants, honourable guests and media for their dedicated support which resulted in the success of the event.

Muhammad Zubair, Governor of Sindh honoured the Award Ceremony as a Chief Guest accompanied by Sardar Mohammad Baksh Khan Mahar, Minister Sports and Youth Affairs & Romis Ali Organizing Secretary while talking to media, during honouring the 4th PTBF Ranking Tenpin Bowling Tournament 2017 as Chief Guest stated”
“It is encouraging and surprising that we have the Bowling skills of international standards in our youth and the event conducted and witnessed by me is evidence to the fact. I am quite impressed from Tenpin Bowling Officials and appreciate their way to promote the youth talent and their promotion”

At the end Sardar Mohammad Baksh Khan Mahar, Minister Sports and Youth Affairs expressed his feelings and said I can see bright future of sport, while seeing the dedication and devotion of STBA Officials. He directed Secretary Romis Ali should provide all technical details/data to plan for the project. While answering the media, he said required piece of Land will be allotted to Construct a 20-30 Lanes Bowling Alley of International Standards under private public partnership program.”

While talking to Media, Romis Ali, joint Secretary of PTBF said “Federation is taking serious steps to promote bowling in Pakistan. Time is not far away when we will truly enlighten the name of our country across the world. He said Government should take keen interest to promote bowling in Pakistan and come forward to establish Bowling Alleys in every Provence Capital of Pakistan.

Aleem Agha, Senior Vice President of STBA, appealed to Government of Sindh that Tenpin Bowling has not yet been able to establish its own club with Training facilities and the players are facing lot of difficulties in this regards. Government can play its part and extend support to Association for suited measures. In order to take part in international events we direly need training and coaching facilities to polish the skills of our player in befitting manners. We can get our share as this sport is much popular and being played in 144 countries. While maintaining Bowling Club we will be able to train our young players and get them attractive to this sport. it is renowned fact we do have skills of international standards and this event is the evidence of it.

Aleem Agha conducted a Lucky Draw to give the evening a fabulous end, and registered members were given high importance and encouragement for their participation to create a lively and enjoyable environment after a tough competition. The Lucky Draw was given on behalf of PTBF, for the registered players, against their entry and registration coupons. The winners were given Gift Hampers from Vision Venture & PTBF. —- STBA
