By- STBA, Mar 3, 2012: Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation, The 72nd meeting of the executive committee of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) that held at Committee Room, Pakistan Sports Complex. The meeting was presided over by the Inter Provincial Coordination Minister Mir Hazar Khan Bijrani. The meeting was also attended by President Pakistan Olympic Association, Gen (R) Arif Hasan, President Pakistan Hockey Federation, Qasim Zia, President Pakistan Boxing Federation Doda Khan Bhutto, President Pakistan Badminton Federation, Yasmeen Rehman MNA and Jahangir Khan, former world squash champion.
The committee approved the much awaited permanent registration / affiliation of Tenpin bowling Federation and granted the body the status of Permanent Registered Federation for tenpin bowling with Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).
Mr. Muhammad Shuja Khan president Pakistan Tenpin Bowing Federation and General Secretary Ejaz Ur Rehman grateful to Minister for IPC Mr. Hazar Khan Bijrani and Secretary IPC Anees ul Hassan Musvi for granting permanent affiliation to PTBF.
Ejaz Ur Rehman General Secretary PTBF announces at this moment 1st Islamabad Doubles Ranking Tenpin Bowling Championship on 4th of March 2012. He further said this year Federation will arrange more and more championships. The long struggle of Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation finally acclaimed the much awaited affiliation by Pakistan Sports Board in the 72nd meeting of Pakistan Sport Board which took place in Islamabad.
The meeting also reviewed the past performances of PTBF and underlined the efforts taken by PTBF for the promotion of tenpin bowling in the country. The comparative analysis of PTBF also demonstrated its hard work done in the recent past years while setting up a precedent for other federations to follow.
It may be recalled that PTBF has been regularly conducting national and participating in international bowling events throughout the year and its affiliation with PSB is a clear demonstration of the professional steps taken by PTBF for the promotion of tenpin bowling in the country. Mr. Ejaz Ur Rehman, General Secretary PTBF expressed his joy and pleasure over the decision of PSB and assured the PSB and tenpin bowling players throughout the country for a more professional and systematic approach for the development and promotion of tenpin bowling, he stated that this affiliation was a hallmark of success and accreditation of efforts taken PTBF by PSB. Mr. Rehman also briefed the press about the events calendar of federation for year 2012. Ever since after winning the status of an official sports federation of tenpin bowling in country, this was the first ever press brief of Mr. Ejaz Ur Rehman.
On this occasion notables, tenpin bowling players and other officials of PTBF welcomed the decision of PSB and stated the same as a milestone in promotion of tenpin bowling in country.
