Peshawar, April 01, 2019: Pakistan Judo Federation in collaboration with Islamabad Judo Association and Army Sports Directorate is organizing 26th Men and 9th Women National Judo Championships from 30th April to 04th May 2019 at Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.
In the light of decision of last GC meeting, Team Events for men/women have also been included for the first time.
Marks of each event will accumulate towards winner trophy of respective event.
The team event will hold as per the SOR of International Judo Federation and Judo Union of Asia as well as local modifications due to time and other factors.
Top 15 teams KP, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit Baltistan, AJK.
Pak Army, WAPDA, Railway, Police, Navy and HEC will participate in the championships.
Token participation has given to DHA for the promotion of Judo in their concern areas.
The Championship of men will hold in 10 weights while the championship of women will hold in 8 weight as per the details given below:
Men: -50, -55, -60, -66, -73, -81, -90, -100, +100kg and Open weight.
Women: -40, -44, -48, -52, -57, -63, -70kg and Open weight.
Weight categories of the Team Event
Men (5) -66 kg,-73 kg,-81kg,-90kg, +90kg
Women (5) -52 kg, -57kg,-63kg,-70kg,+70kg
All teams will arrive on 30th of April 2019.
The manager meeting will hold at 3pm.
4pm technical officials meeting, and official weight of men and women will hold at 6pm on same-day.
The President of Pakistan Judo Federation said that the opportunity to represent Pakistan Internationally will give to best Judokas of the championships. —- PJF
