AFC, C-Certificate Football Coaching Course-2011 starts in Islamabad

Islamabad-Pakistan, Press Release Friday, Dec 30, 2011: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), in line with its emphasis on PFF Vision Plan 2020 and Youth Development Program to hosting an AFC C-Certificate Football Coaching Course-2011 at Jinnah Football Stadium, Pakistan Sports Board, Islamabad on Thursday.

The 15-day coaching course will be conducted by AFC Instructor, Sheikh Siddique assisted by Assistant Course Instructor Shehzad Anwar, Refree Instructor Salah-ud-Din Awan and Course Coordinator Muhammad Zaman Khan.

According to the press release issued here by PFF, Lt. Col. ® Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi, General Secretary, PFF opened the Course as Chief Guest and said that experience is essential for a coach whether working with other coaches and learning from them or coaching different groups of players with mixed abilities.”A successful coach should always be open to new ideas and posses a will to improve their individual skills and knowledge of the game.

AFC courses offer the perfect solution to all coaches who aim to improve their skills, knowledge, experience and enjoyment of the game”, he added. Director Development & Youth, Wing Cmdr ® Pervaiz Saeed Mir was also present on this occasion. Lodhi added:

“To strengthen club culture is one of the important goals of PFF President’s Faisal Saleh Hayat’s long-term planning and according to him coaches will play vital role in this regard. The Course will enable the 23 participants to take this challenge.

The Course will change the fortune of many participants and this will be a great opportunity for all of the Pakistani football coaches to come on board and take advantage of Sheikh Siddiq’s coaching philosophy and experience he will provide for the coaching local coaching fraternity.

“There is so much happening in modern football and this course where video analysis and practical lessons are involved, helps to get an insight into the game,” added Sheikh Siddique.

Saquib Omer, Farooq Nazir, Abdul Waseem, Sajjad Hafeez, Syed Hassan Abbas Jafri, Syed Mudassar Sabir, Muhammad Khan, Junaid Muhammad Khan, Faisal Javed, Muhammad Jamil, Waris Khan, Johar Ali, Muhammad Noman, Muhammad Ramzan, Sohail Imran, Mahmood Akram, Zafarullah Zafri, Dilshad Ali, Arif Masih, Ayyaz Mahmood Butt, Khuda Bux, Ghulam Shabbir and Zahid Qureshi.

The AFC ‘C’ Coaching Certificate course aims at training coaches and developing their basic techniques and skills in football. It is designed to teach the coaches to organize, direct and conduct basic coaching practices targeting especially young players.

The course lasts 13 days and requires a minimum of 85 hours of study time for both the practical and theoretical sessions. In the final examination, students will be assessed on their practical coaching abilities, knowledge of the laws of the game, in addition to learning and understanding of the theory contents of football.
