Osama, Mudassar and Akhtar elected

Karachi – Pakistan, April 07, 2013: The Election Commissioner, Masood Ishrat, Registrar, Ombudsman Sindh conducted the fresh election of Sindh Olympic Association for the period 2013-16 as per National Sports Policy by Govt. of Pakistan here at Abdullah Haroon Muslim Gymkhana, Karachi on 7th April 2013, Sunday at 11.00 am.

According to the Mudassar Arain, secretary, newly elected body of SOA who is also secretary Pakistan Netball Federation, the Observer of Interim Committee of POA, Iftikhar Hussain Syed (Olympian) and Secretary, Election Commission Muhammad Riaz Chaudhry and Muhammad Riaz Assistant also supervise the meeting.

Osama Qadri unanimously elected as President and Qamaruddin Sheikh elected as Chairman.

The nominated representatives (52 persons) of 26 Provincial Sports Associations have participated in the election meeting.

The House welcome the newly elected President Osama Qadri then he presided over the meeting and thanks the house and election commission for their smooth and transparent proceeding of SOA Election and also Welcome the observer of Interim Committee POA.

He also assured that the Sindh Contingent will participate in coming National Games 2013 at Islamabad and complete program for the promotion of sports in the province of Sindh will be given beside the Sindh Beach Games and Sindh Games also.
