Hamda Al Hosani is the golden girl again for UAE & Emirati bowling star, Saleh Al Marri, wants to make a big impact

The Olympics Sports team Abdul Rahim and Muhammad Saeed, Abu Dhabi, March 17, 2019: The UAE’s Hamda Al Hosani will have to make room for another medal in her cabinet after winning gold in the 200m final at Special Olympics World Games.

At Dubai Police Stadium today, Hamda Al Hosani sprinter crossed the finish line in an impressive time of 32.14 seconds. Canada’s Eva Bell who crossed the line at 34.81 seconds closely followed her.

There was more reason to celebrate for the UAE, with Hamda’s fellow Special Olympics UAE sprinter, Momena Shirdal, coming in third (36.42) during the same race and winning bronze.

The result comes as no surprise, with Hamda having dominated the track at various Special Olympic events.

Hamda Al Hosani, who is known for having more medals than Usain Bolt, has more than 15 medals to her name.

Hamda, who will compete in the 100m later in the week, said: “It is a great feeling to win gold on home soil and in front of my home fans.

I’m really enjoying the World Games so far.

It has been really fun and the other competitors from around the world have spoken so positively about the competition, which is really good. I cannot wait to get on the track again this week.”

Emirati bowling star, Saleh Al Marri, wants to make a big impact at Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019 in honor of “Abu Khalid”

The 25-year-old is eager to win yet another medal to add to his growing collection of personal achievements and to pay tribute to Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE’s Armed Forces.

“I listened carefully to His Highness’ speech at the Opening Ceremony of the World Games Abu Dhabi and want to make him proud of me,” said Saleh.

“Will challenge everyone at the World Games.

Have so much energy to perform and achieve a gold medal.

“I’m so happy and excited to be bowling at Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi. I want all the countries worldwide to know about the UAE and about Saleh Al Marri.”

As one of the most famous, and most decorated, athletes representing the UAE at Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019, Saleh has played a key role in helping to raise awareness of the World Games and people of determination.

The bowler trained hard ahead of the start of the competition and focuss on delivering a great performance.

“Saleh so determins and passionate about what he is doing,” said his coach, Samira Ouzi.

“He is so emotional and loves to hug everyone around him. He also loves to use social media a lot.

However, when he trains, he disciplins and limits the time he spends on his phone and cuts down on his favorite soft drinks, too!” —- SOWG2019
