Doha, May 2, 2012 – The Organising Committee of the SAMSUNG Diamond League Doha 2012 has appointed Virgin Megastore as its official ticketing agent for this year’s event. Tickets for the 2012 SAMSUNG Diamond League are available at Diamond League promotional booths in City Centre, SoukhWaqif, Landmark and Villaggio.
Tickets can also be purchased online through www.virginmegastore.me.The online customers can collect their tickets from the Landmark and Villaggio branches of Virgin Megastore in Doha.
There are three prices categories:
• General seats : 20,- QR
• Finish line : 50,- QR
• VIP : 100,- QR
The event will take place on May 11 2012, from 18:00 to 21:00 at Qatar Sports Club.
Following the success of last year’s event and after the recent announcements of the top level athlete’s, like David Rudisha, Asafa Powell, Nesta Carter, Veronica Campell-Brown, Allyson Felix, KenenisaBekele, Justin Gatlin, and many others, a large crowd is expected to be attracted and whoever wishing to watch a top level competition is advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
At the close of the sporting spectacle, Doha 2020 Bid Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games is organising a charity concert which will be brought to life by Arab singing superstars from the renowned “Bokra” ensemble. In the spirit of encouraging sports and culture, which Doha 2020 believes can inspire many young people, the proceeds from the concert will go to charity organisations.
