FITA becomes the World Archery Federation (WA) & Turkish Airlines continues to support World Archery

Lausanne, April 02, 2012: Turkish Airlines, The 2011 Congress in Turin (ITA) will remain as a true milestone in archery history: the delegates decided at a very large majority that FITA would become the World Archery Federation, with the abbreviation of WA. The decision came into effect officially on 1 April 2012. The World Archery brand and logo are now therefore used to their full extent.

Turkish Airlines continues to support World Archery

Lausanne, March 30, 2012: World Archery is delighted to announce the extension of its partnership with Turkish Airlines. TA has been an Official Sponsor of archery since the launch of the Archery World Cup in 2006. Now, the partnership has been extended for two more seasons, until 1st March 2014. Moreover, TA will keep allowing all national team archers to have 12 kg of extra luggage free of charge for their archery equipment. This offer is valid on TA flights.The archery officials, athletes and fans have been delighted to fly with TA over the years enjoying world class services in all flights, including the new Comfort Class. TA is one of the fastest growing airlines in the world.
