Sohaib Sanaullah displaying complete domination by winning 17 of his 24 games

Karachi, August 26, 2019: The 3 days 2nd Shangrila Foods Scrabble Champions Trophy ended here today with teenage sensation and former Pakistan champion Sohaib Sanaullah displaying complete domination by winning 17 of his 24 games and being gibsonised for 2 games.

8 times national champion Waseem Khatri made a remarkable recovery over the last 2 days to end second with 15.5 wins followed by current National and U-14 and U-16 World Champion Hasham Hadi Khan (also in his teens) in third place after winning 15 games.

Asma Ali Shah, Chairperson Sports Committee of North Nazimabad Gymkhana gave away the prizes (Sohaib Sanaullah displaying complete).

The Champions Trophy, an invitational tournament involving the top 30 ranked players of Pakistan a nationally and internationally ranked tournament and the toughest tournament on the local circuit as no easy games.

The future of Pakistan Scrabble appears to be in the pink of health as it is currently holding all the possible world titles at youth level (6 age categories of Junior World Scrabble Championship.
WESPA Youth Cup and Princess Cup) and with 7 of the top 10 of the Champions Trophy still eligible to represent Pakistan at this level besides other players who have shown a lot of potential.

PSA is the first and yet the only registered scrabble club in Pakistan and registered office Karachi, Pakistan.

PSA in existance for over two decades now.

It all started in 1989 when the American Center Karachi Organized the first Scrabble Championship.

That proved to be the launching pad for PSA.

President Mrs. Goshpi Avari is the driving force behind this organization.

She gathered all the Scrabble lovers of Pakistan on one platform and threw open the doors.
