Snooker: Pakistan proved its supremacy again

Carlow – Republic of Ireland, Oct 06, 2013: The team Pakistan comprises of reigning world champion (Individual) Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Sajjad made Pakistan proud by winning 2013 IBSF World Team Snooker (Men) Championship here at Ivy Rooms in Carlow, Republic of Ireland.

Things were not so good for team Pakistan in the start of play. Both the Pakistani players lost first three frames in quick succession but after that Muhammad Sajjad mesmerized all in the venue by crafting an excellent break of 83 points.

Getting some relief, Asif also added a break of 50 points in next frame to narrow the lead 2-3 and from thereon they did not look behind and kept winning frame over frame.

Iran was struggling to do anything in all those frame but lastly Amir Sarkhosh gave some fight in the last moments of play before bowing down to Sajjad. Team Ireland2 and Wales1 shared joint bronze. —- IBSF
