Sharjah, UAE, Jan 14, 2014: Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, a member of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and Chair of the Women’s Sport Committee of the Union of Arab NOCs, chaired a coordination meeting with representatives of national women’s clubs.The meeting was to prepare the teams for the second Arab Women’s Sports Tournament, scheduled to be held in Sharjah, UAE, for the second successive time from February 2-12.
The seven sports are: Volleyball, Athletics, Table Tennis, Basketball, Shooting, Fencing and Archery, and 12 venues will be used for competition and training.
The organizing committee has received applications from 14 NOCs: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, UAE, Yemen, Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine, Sudan, Jordan and Iraq. —- OCA
