Dublin – Ireland, Sept 13, 2013: The International Rugby Board will host an informal media update with Chief Executive Brett Gosper on Wednesday, September 18, which is two years to go until Rugby World Cup 2015 kicks off.
The briefing will be held at the offices of Clifford Chance LLP, 10 Upper Bank Street, London, E14 5JJ, from 11:00 and will provide media with an opportunity to discuss IRB objectives and the role that Rugby World Cup plays in driving the global development of the Game. Details of the Impact Beyond global legacy programme will be outlined.
RWC Tournament Director Kit McConnell, IRB Head of Commercial, Broadcast and Marketing Murray Barnett and FIRA-AER President and IOC member Octavian Morariu will also be present at the briefing and available for interview.
Briefing and event timings are as follows:
11:00 Photography and TV broadcast opportunity with IRB representatives and the Webb Ellis Cup. Requests for this should be made in advance.
11:30 Briefing commences.
12:15 Briefing closes and lunch will be available. One-to-one interviews can take place at this point. Requests should be made in advance when confirming attendance.
14:00 Session closes.
