Karachi, September 20, 2019: The President of Pakistan Canoe and Kayak Federation Malik Abdul Rahim Babai condemn the Canoeing enmity and racism policy of the President and Secretary General of Pakistan Olympic Association for unnecessary ousted of Canoeing event from the National Games Peshawar 2019.
Canoeing events included in the National Games Quetta but due to unavoidable scenario the National Games Quetta transferred and allotted to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to host the said National Games at Peshawar in 2019.
He said the list of scheduled sports events of National Games Peshawar 2019 has finalized and it has confirmed that the canoeing event have unnecessary ousted from the National Games Peshawar 2019 and Soft ball had included instead.
Malik Abdul Rahim Babai said Pakistan Canoe and Kayak Federation (PCKF) is non-profit National constituent Governing body for Canoe and Kayak sports in Pakistan and adjacent areas.
It represents all those players and clubs / Associations with a genuine interest in canoe and Kayak sports.
PCKF is the only National Federation in Pakistan promoting and developing Canoe and Kayak Olympic Sports events, activities in the Country on National and International level since 2007.
Pakistan Canoe and Kayak Federation affiliated on International level with International Canoe Federation (ICF) and on Asian level with Asian Canoe Confederation (ACC) and Recognized in Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Government of Pakistan Islamabad according to its own constitution.
Malik Babai emphasized that the Pakistan is not meant for the sports federations based only in Lahore Punjab he said continues ignorance of the players of PCAKF just on the basis that the office bearers and country top canoeing players are belongs to the backward province of Baluchistan clearly proves canoeing facing enmity and racism policy that is why which is damaging the Unity Faith and Discipline rules of the founder of Pakistan.
He Said that earlier the Pakistan Canoe and Kayak Federation National Canoeing team deliberately not included in the National contingent of 17th Asian Games South Korea 2014 and 18th Asian Games 2018 in Indonesia.
He appealed the Chief Minister KPK and Federal Minister and Secretary IPC for immediate inclusion of Canoeing events in the National games Peshawar 2019 and save the future of the players of the Canoeing sports in Pakistan. —- PCAKF
