Islamabad, Pakistan, May 7, 2018: Sindh in Women Category and Pakistan WAPDA in Men Category won the 17th National Netball Championship 2018 held at Hamidi Hall, PSB Sports Complex, Islamabad, organized by Pakistan Netball Federation in collaboration with Pakistan Sports Board (National Netball 2018).
The Final Women event was played between Sindh and Pakistan Wapda teams.
Sindh team won the match by 24-22 goals and secured the 1st Position & declared the national champion, Quratul Ain, Nayab Razia, Humaira HUma, Sakina Modi, Sumbal, Kashia and Hina Rafiq shows outstanding performance from Sindh.
3rd Position Match was also played between Higher Education Commission and Punjab teams. HEC won the match by 28-12 goals and secured the 3rd position (National Netball 2018).
The Final Men event was played between Pakistan Wapda and Pakistan Air force teams.
Pakistan wapda won the match by 29-26 goals and secured the 1st Position & declared the national champion, Samad Masood, Yawar Khan, Naseeb Raza & Haris Kamal shows outstanding performance from Wapda (National Netball 2018).
3rd Position Match was also played between Higher Education Commission and Pakistan Police teams. HEC won the match by 28-27 goals and secured the 3rd position.
The technical officials namely Anwar Ahmed Ansari, Yasir Javed, Shazia Yousaf, Aisha Sher, Komal Gipson, Khalida, Shahid Amin & Aftab Iqbal were supervised the matches.
Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Federal Secretary, Ministry of Planning Commission, Govt. of Pakistan was the chief guest and distributed the prizes among the players & teams.
On this occasion Capt (R) Zafar Iqbal Awan, Chairman, PNF, Mudassar Razak Arain, President, PNF, Muhammad Riaz, Secretary, PNF, Syed Toqeer Ahmed, Treasurer, Mansoor Ahmed Khan, DDG, PSB, Azam Dar, Director (NF), PSB , Muhammad Razak Gill, General Secretary, Wapda Sports Board, Malik Sameen Khan, VP PNG, Col (R). Ghulam Murtaza, President, INA and other dignities were also present (National Netball 2018).
