Karachi, Pakistan, April 12, 2021: The Vice President of Sports Journalists Association of Sindh (SJAS) has made the entire association proud by acquiring fifth position in the “video reporting” category award of world recognised, AIPS (International Sports Press Association).
The award out of 1871 entries of the 129 countries is indeed a great honour for SJAS.
According to the details, the President of SJAS, Muhammad Asif Khan, Secretary General Muhammad Asghar Azeem, Senior Vice President Zubair Nazeer Khan, Vice President Mansoor Ali Beg, Secretary Finance Irshad Ali, Joint Secretary Shahid Usman Saati, Secretary Information Maqsood Ahmed along with the Executive Committee and the entire members of SJAS congratulated Vice President Mehmood Riaz, senior reporter 24 News, on getting this video category award.
President Muhammad Asif Khan, applauded Mehmood Riaz for his outstanding work, and said Mehmood has always works differently to make a mark for himself.
The President added that by securing fifth position, in the prestigious AIPS award, Mehmood has made Pakistan’s sports journalists proud.
In his video, Mehmood Riaz, highlighted Jannat Gul, a striving martial arts coach, in such a wonderful way, which leads other journalists to follow his footsteps.
Secretary General of SJAS, Muhammad Asghar Azeem said out of 129 countries the fifth position for Mehmood Riaz – off 1871 entries – is a great honour for SJAS.
Earlier SJAS President Muhammad Asif Khan has also acquired prominent position in these awards.
Moreover, the stories of Executive Committee members Alamzaib Khan and Suleman Khan get the space on AIPS website is also evident of sports journalism stature in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, secretary AIPS Asia and President Pakistan Sports Writers Federation (PSWF) Amjad Aziz Malik, Senior Vice President PSWF Syed Nasar Iqbal, Secretary PSWF Zahid Farooq Malik and Executive Committee member PSWF Imtiaz Farooq Narinja also paid rich tribute to Mehmood Riaz on this outstanding feat. —- SJAS
