Saldera Open All Pakistan Bowling Championship 2014

Karachi – Pakistan, June 21, 2014: Opening Ceremony of Saldera Open All Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Championship 2014 started at 2000 hours at Royal Rodale Club, DHA, Karachi, on June 20, 2014, under Sindh Tenpin Bowling Association (STBA). Najeeb ur Rehman, Collector of Pakistan Customs, graced the opening ceremony as Guest of Honour.

The Championship has been organized by STBA to honour, recognizes the achievement of our young talented Bowler Ahmer Abbas Saldera amazing 16 year old talented player who scored the Perfect Game of 300 and currently leading the top charts in Pakistan amongst mature and experienced players.

The Ladies category was included in the championship just to develop interest and attraction for the category as we are planning to start training and coaching camp for the youth of both genders less than 18 years of age, Said Romis Ali.

UNDER 18 LADIES SINGLES: 7 years old Amna Abbas lead the Ladies Category in Championship with the average of 97, Anum was the runners-up with average 68 score, Ayesha Abbas secured 3rd position with 65 score.

Najeeb ur Rehman, Collector of Pakistan Customs, formerly rolled the Bowling Ball to express his interest with Bowling and inaugurated the Championship as a Chief Guest in the Opening Ceremony that was held on 20th June 2014 at Royal Rodale Club, DHA, Karachi.

Qualifying session of Mens Singles will end up today that was extended due to encouraging response of Bowlers. Presently, qualifying session is being led by Ahmer Abbas Saldera with 203 average score, followed by Daniyal Shah with 185 average score and Aleem Agha with 184 Average.

Thrill in the alley with the smashing strikes of bowlers continues to grow and number of new players joined STBA during the qualifying rounds under the category of men’s singles, amateur, doubles & 4 men team event.

After the selection from qualifying rounds, Round 1 & 2 games will be played today on 21 June from 7:30 onward and FINALS on 22nd June at 7:30 onwards to mark the history of bowling in Sindh through awarding medals and certificates to impressive and passionate bowling champions.
