Karachi – Pakistan, Mar 28, 2013: The Executive Committee & organizing committee meeting of Karachi City Sports Association was held at KMC Sports Complex Karachi to discuss the details and make decisions for the forthcoming 2nd Sindh Sports Board Karachi Beach Games 2013.
Meeting was chaired by Muhammad Aslam Khan , president KCSA ,and attended by Ghulam Muhammad, Chairman, Khursheed Shah, sr. vice president, Mushtaq Ahmed (V.P) Tariq Naseer(VP),Muhammad Khalid Rehmani ( secretary general), Noushad Ahmed ( treasurer), Erum Bukhari & Bilqees Shafiq ( associate secretaries), Javed Yousuf.(member core Committee) Atif Ali, Sarwar Hussain , Safder Abbas , Raffat Jehan ( Members Karachi City Sports Association) were present.
Meeting was also attended by organizing Committee & Disciplines representatives, Qudsia Raja, Fahmida Zamir, Farha Riaz , Maqsood Ahmed, Muhammad Ali, Abdul Razzak, Abdul Samad khan, Furqan Hussain.
• Decisions
Most of the Disciplines which are part of 4thAsian Beach Games 2014 Phoket ,Thailand are included to give necessary exposure to athletes and know-how for general Public which include, Marathon ( male & female), Beach Volleyball ( male & female) ,Sepaktakraw ( male & female,), Beach Kabaddi ( male), Wrestling ( males)& Soccer (Female).
Other Disciplines include, Beach Tennis, it will be first time ever Beach tennis is being introduced in Pakistan. Judo, (male & female).
Two traditional Games, Vanjwati & Malakhra shall also be the part of 2nd Karachi Games.
20 Special players will also take part in various disciplines of Games.
Gymnastic & Roller scatting shall be played as demonstration games.
It was also decided that few more Disciplines will be added after the consultation with concerned provincial Sports Associations specially which are included at Asian Beach Games.
The competitions shall be held on the basis of distirct teams, best 4 out five Districts shall be allowed to enter in.
A Core committee of KCSA is also form to hold meetings with Sindh Sports Board representatives and relevant organizations and sports associations to finalize details of Disciplines etc.
