17th Sindh Games 2014 at Karachi

Karachi – Pakistan, Dec 2, 2013: The Government supported Sindh Olympic Association (SOA) organised the SOA Award Ceremony for Medal Winners of National Games 2013 on at a local Hotel in Karachi. Nisar Ahmed Khuro, Senior Minister Education, Govt. of Sindh was the Chief Guest and Shoiab Ahmed Siddiqui, Commissioner Karachi and Tahir Naveed Chairman, PTF were the Guest of honor and also distributed the cash rewards, certificates & shields among the medal holders of National Games 2013.

According to Press Release, Usama Qadri, President, SOA, Qamaruddin Shaikh, Chairman, Abdul Razak Arain, SVP, Mehtab uddin Chawla, President, KOA, Dr. Javed Qamar Yousaf, Vice Chairman, Mudassar Arain, Shahid ul Islam, Director, Sindh Sports Board, Shahzad Parvez Bhatti, Dy Dir, SSB and Presidents & Secretaries of Provincial Sports Association and Divisional Olympic Associations, players & officials were also present on this occasion.

The mentioned were given the cash rewards to 93 medal winners’ players which are as under.

Gold Medallist: RS: 10,000/- (40 players)

Silver Medallist: RS: 8,000/- (9-players)

Bronze Medallist RS: 5,000/- (44-players)

Usama Qadri, President, offer to Nisar Ahmed Khuro for the Patron in Chief of SOA and he graciously accepted.

As the Patron in Chief of SOA, announced the 17th Sindh Games 2014 at Karachi will be held from 30th January to 2nd February 2014 in collaboration with of Govt. of Sindh (Sports Department) and he will also request to Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah for join us as Chief Guest in opening ceremony of Sindh Games 2014 at Karachi.

Furthermore, President Usama Qadri announced of RS: 100,000/- for each Divisional Olympic Associations (Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana & Mirpurkhas) to organisation the School Games in December 2013 .

The Sindh Olympic Association also announced the SOA & Iqbal Memorial Trust jointly organised the Special Games 2013 on 10th December 2013 at PSB Sports Complex, Karachi.

At the End, all medal winners and officials acknowledged the efforts made by Sindh Olympic Association (SOA) to promote sports in Sindh Province and financial support of players and officials and they hope at same will be continue in future.
