Pakistan Judo Federation is hopeful to participate in Asian Games 2018

Peshawar, Sports Desk, July 19, 2018: Pakistan Judo Federation is hopeful to participate in Asian Games to be held in Indonesia from 18th August to 2nd of September (pakistan judoka asian games).

For which Judo team has selected, i.e., Shah Hussain Shan, Qaisar Khan, Babar Hussain, Nadeem Akram in male while in female Humaira Ashiq, Maryam, and Amina Toyoda respectively.

They are all working hard for to achieve best result not only in Asian Games but also in further International events.

Hussain Shah, Olympian and Bronze Medalist of Asian Championships 2013, Silver Medalist of Common Wealth Games, 5th Position holder of Asian Games and Gold Medalist of South Asian Championships 2014, Gold Medalist of 12th South Asian Games 2016, India, and Gold Medalist of Last 12th South Asian Senior Judo Championship 2018, Nepal.

Shah nowadays getting training from Nagase Takanori, Olympic Judo bronze medalist, World Champion 2014, Asian Champion and also achieved medals from 2013 to 2016 in different International Championships.

He is hopeful to do his best in Asian Games (pakistan judoka asian games) for raising the flag of Pakistan.

Qaisar Khan Afridi, a young emerging player, who has almost qualified for Youth Olympics 2018, (officially will announce in coming few days In Sha Allah).

Recently he showed his worth by getting Bronze Medal in Asian Cup Cadet held in Kyrgyzstan and Asian Cup Cadet held in Hong Kong from 12th to 15th July 2018 at Asian Level respectively.

Pakistan Judo Federation arranged his training in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in last months whereas nowadays he is getting training in Macau with International best players where after training he will participate in Asian Cup Cadet (last competition of Youth Olympics qualifying rounds) to be held in Macau from 19th to 24th July.

PJF has expectation from Qaisar Khan who is at the moment on world junior ranking # 20 (Ever highest of any Pakistani judoka so far).

Amina Toyoda a semifinalist of Asian Cadet Championships is getting training in the best Judo University of Japan.

PJF is hopeful that she will prove her worth in the Games/pakistan judoka asian games/.

Moreover, Babar Hussain, Nadeem Akram, Humaira Ashiq, and Maryam are in training in their respective departments i.e., Pakistan Army and Pakistan WAPDA.

They are also that if they get the opportunity they will show their medals in the forthcoming Games.

Pakistan Judo Federation is in contact with Pakistan Sports Board and Pakistan Olympics Association to participate in Asian Games.

After withdrawing all court cases as per Lausanne agreement.

PJF now believes that POA, PSB or any patriot Pakistani in chair will not like to deprive the basic right of participation of those athletes which have great chances of doing respectable finish in the Asian Games where Pakistan had a poor record performance last time.

Pakistan Sports Board has been supporting Pakistan Judo Federation, as a result PJF not only performed well at South Asian, Asian and World level but also qualified into Rio Olympics 2016.
