Official Draw and Press Conference Olympic

Lausanne – Switzerland, July 17, 2012: The Olympic Games are about to begin. Please, find hereafter the information concerning the official draw of the competition and the IJF President’s introductory press conference, to be held on July 26th, 2012.

Technical meeting and Competition draw

The technical meeting and competition draw of the London Olympic Games, will be held as follows:

• Date: 26 July 2012 (Day -1)

• Time: 10:00 am

• Location: Capital Suite, International Conference Centre (ICC) at ExCeL

• Conditions for the media: Press can attend the draw at the back of the room. Like all attendees, media will need to be accredited to attend. No questions or interviews will be allowed during the official draw (for questions and interviews refer to the press conference section).

Press Conference

The IJF President’s official introductory press conference will be held as follows:

• Date: 26 July 2012 (Day -1)

• Time: 11:15 am

• Duration: Maximum 45 minutes

• Location: Room 17 of the Capital Suite on level three of the Excel (5 minute walking distance from the draw room).

• Speakers: Mr. Marius L. Vizer, IJF President

Mr. Jean-Luc Rougé, IJF Secretary General

Mr. Vladimir Barta, IJF Head Sports Director

• Special guests: 1 athlete representing each of the 10 top nations with most representation in judo at the OG will be invited for the draw and for the press conference (more information about the athletes to come).

• Conditions for the media: All media attending the press conference must be accredited for the London Olympic Games. —– IJF
