Bogota, Colombia, Sept 7, 2019: Newcomer Felipe Silva didn’t waste any time in his BRAVE Combat Federation debut, as he rolled through Dumar Roa in the main event of BRAVE 26, held this Saturday, in Bogota, Colombia (Felipe Silva reigns supreme).
In front of a sold-out and passionate Colombian crowd, he showcased his entire muay thai arsenal, getting a first-round TKO in the process.
After the fight, Felipe thanked his family, and spoke of the sacrifice of being away from his newborn son for two months, before sending a menacing message to newly-crowned Lightweight champion Cleiton “Predator”, who dethroned Silva’s pupil Luan “Miau” Santiago in a week.
“You know, this victory tastes extra sweet because it was in my BRAVE CF debut.
I’m really happy to be here, and I have to thank BRAVE CF, my family, friends, and my newborn son, who didn’t have me for two months, while I was training for this.
I know there’s a new champion of the world out there, and I won’t even say his name.
I know he’s talked about me after winning the title.
But I’ll tell you guys now: his head will roll soon or later”.
In the co-main event, Gabriel “Fly” Miranda went back to winning ways with a dominant submission victory over Bogota hero Jon Zarate.
Both men traded in the pocket early on, before “Fly” took over with his grappling, eventually locking a guillotine choke in the second round.
In the other two bouts of the main card, Ilia Topuria and Luana Pinheiro came out victorious, as they submitted Luis Gomez and Yasmeli Araque, respectively.
