Upcoming AFC U-14 Championsh​ip -2014

Lahore – Pakistan, Mar 22, 2013: Top 24 youth football players of Pakistan are undergoing the Under 14 national training camp at Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) House, Lahore started on 10th March, 2013 and will finish on 23rd April, 2013. The rationale of this training camp is to prepare the U-14 National Football Team for the upcoming AFC U-14 Championship -2014 (Qualifiers) to be held at Iran from 23rd to 29th April, 2013.

According to the press release issued here by PFF, the probables of the training camp are:-

Goal Keepers (GK) -Mudassar, Muhammad Asad Fareed, Bilal Waheed and Abdul Waheed,

Defender (DF) – Adil Ali, Uzair, Said Ali, Zubair Umer, Yasir and Atta Ullah.

Mid Fielder (MF) – Shahzeb, Muhammad Saqib Javaid, A. Wahid Khan, Muhammad Riaz, Saqlain Tariq and Mohammad Ikhlas

Striker/ Forward (FW) – Muhammad Shahid Ali, Ubaid Ahmed, Shakeel Ahmed, Junaid Ahmed, Sulman, Habib Ullah, Sheiyar yar Lasi and Majeed Khan

The officials of training camp are: Mohammad Hassan Baloch (Coach), Asghar Khan Anjum (Assistant Coach/ Assistant Manager), Sheikh Zahid Niaz (Assistant Coach) and Kamran Mehdi (Physio)

Top 24 Youth Players are selected from over 500 Players through AFC AID-27 Financial Assistant Programme, in the first phase, trials, training and coaching camp was conducted for PFF U-13 Football Youth Cup-2013 which was held from 27th January to 31st January, 2013. After the completion of the PFF U-13 Football Youth Cup the four best teams qualified for PFF U-13 Football Festival.

On the request of Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, President PFF, AID-27 Programme (AID27) was started by AFC for Pakistan in year 2006 to help the participating units of PFF to develop football at the grassroots and youth level as well as to promote women’s football and futsal by ensuring that more qualified coaches are employed, enhancing the education of those involved in the game, assisting in the employment of administrative staff and increasing participation of the national teams at AFC Youth Competitions and Festivals of Football.
