AFC agrees rights deal with T Sports in Bangladesh

Kuala Lumpur, February 8, 2021: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has today announced that T Sports will be their new media partner in Bangladesh for the next four years.

The deal includes all major AFC national team and club competitions, including but not limited to the AFC Asian Qualifiers – Road to Qatar Final Round, the AFC Asian Cup China 2023 and the AFC U23 Asian Cup Finals 2022 and 2024, as well as the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup from the 2021 season.

T Sports, owned by Bashundhara Group, is Bangladesh’s first dedicated 24/7 private satellite sports channel, which was launched in December 2020.

Bashundhara Group is one of the largest conglomerates in Bangladesh, and has great interest in sports, owning Rangpur Riders, one of the cricket teams in the Bangladesh Premier League, and Bashundhara Kings, one of the teams participating in the premier division of Bangladesh football amongst others.

Bashundhara Group is proud to be building the biggest sports complex n South Asia occupying 60 acres of land to host many sporting events.

With the group’s existing passion in sports, T Sports will now bring coverage of AFC competitions to the fans in the region.
