Media accreditation process open for 65th FIFA Congress

Zurich, March 30, 2015: FIFA is pleased to announce that the application process for media accreditation for the 65th FIFA Congress on 29 May 2015 is now open on the FIFA Media Channel. The deadline for accreditation applications is 30 April 2015.

The FIFA Congress will take place at the Hallenstadion in Zurich with the formal proceedings on 29 May. The Congress will be preceded by a Medical Conference on 27-28 May and an opening ceremony on the evening of 28 May in the nearby Theater 11. The two latter events will have very limited space for media representatives but will be streamed to the Media Centre located in the Hallenstadion.

Each applicant’s information will be subject to a review process by FIFA. Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail. All applicants are responsible for organising any necessary visas.

Further media-related information for the Congress, i.e. media accommodation, facilities and activities, will be available on the FIFA Media Channel. The entire Congress will also be streamed live on FIFA.com.

The Congress accreditation will also be valid for various meetings taking place around the actual Congress, however, please be informed that supplementary access devices (SAD) may be needed due to space limitations at all events. Accreditation will be required between 26 and 30 May. A provisional programme (subject to change) is available for download.

Information for TV broadcasters
FIFA will have footage available from the Congress for news purposes, and will provide services for broadcasters wishing to attend. All services offered on-site are subject to booking and space availability and final confirmation. Broadcasters with an approved Media Channel account may click on the accreditation form link on the right column. Broadcast media without a Media Channel account must contact MRLaccreditation@fifa.org for information on how to enter their accreditation requests through a TV-specific accreditation link. —- FIFA
