Lahore – Pakistan, Dec 03: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), in line with its emphasis on PFF Vision Plan 2020 and Youth Development Program to hosting an AFC C-Certificate Football Coaching Course-2012 at Football House Lahore on Monday. The 15-day coaching course will be conducted by AFC Instructor, Sheikh Siddique and assist by Assistant Course Instructor Gohar Zaman, and Course Coordinator Arif Siddiqui.
According to PFF, Lt. Col. ® Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi, General Secretary, PFF opened the Course as Chief Guest and said that experience is essential for a coach whether working with other coaches and learning from them or coaching different groups of players with mixed abilities.”A successful coach should always be open to new ideas and posses a will to improve their individual skills and knowledge of the game. AFC courses offer the perfect solution to all coaches who aim to improve their skills, knowledge, experience and enjoyment of the game”, he added. Director Development & Youth, Wing Cmdr ® Pervaiz Saeed Mir and Lt. Col. ® Farasat Ali Shah, Director MA & Projects were also present on this occasion.
Mr. Lodhi added: “To strengthen club culture is one of the important goals of PFF President’s Faisal Saleh Hayat’s long-term planning and according to him coaches will play vital role in this regard. The Course will enable the 23 participants to take this challenge.
The Course will change the fortune of many participants and this will be a great opportunity for all of the Pakistani football coaches to come on board and take advantage of Sheikh Siddiq’s coaching philosophy and experience he will provide for the coaching local coaching fraternity. “There is so much happening in modern football and this course where video analysis and practical lessons are involved, helps to get an insight into the game,” added Sheikh Siddique.
The participants are: Abdul Rehman, Usman Asghar, Mazhar Yasin, Mohsan Iftikhar, Muhammad Qasim, M. Saeed, Shahid Ali Baloch, Yaqoob Khan, Naqeeb, Zubir, Abdul Ali, Sher Hassan, Tahir Munir, Syed Mazhar Shah, Mohammad Shafqat, Nasir Hussain, Muhammad Shafiq, Ali Agha, Akbar Raisani, Muhammad Ayub, Syed Nasir, Ghulam Sarwar and Nida Muhammad.
The AFC ‘C’ Coaching Certificate course aims at training coaches and developing their basic techniques and skills in football. It is designed to teach the coaches to organise, direct and conduct basic coaching practices targeting especially young players. The course lasts 15 days and requires a minimum of 85 hours of study time for both the practical and theoretical sessions. In the final examination, students will be assessed on their practical coaching abilities, knowledge of the laws of the game, in addition to learning and understanding of the theory contents of football.
