Apart from Umar, Sohaib Maqsood has also been selected while prolific Fawad Alam has been left out.
“Fawad Alam is definitely a fighting player but unfortunately we were unable to develop consensus and he was not fitting in the team combination. World Cup is not the end of the world and we will see Fawad playing in big tournaments in future,” Moin told reporters here at National Stadium.

Moin also praised wicket-keeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed for his positive approach.
“Player with an positive attitude like him can play well in any condition,” said Moin, while justifying selection of Sarfaraz Ahmed as third opener as well.
