Media accreditation process launched for the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2018

Zurich, Sept 24, 2018: FIFA is pleased to announce that the accreditation process for media representatives wishing to cover the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2018 has been launched via the FIFA Media Channel.

The competition will start in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain from 12 to 22 December 2018.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday, 31 October 2018.

The competition will feature Al Ain FC of host UAE, Team Wellington FC of New Zealand, CD Guadalajara of Mexico and Real Madrid Club de Fútbol of Spain.

These four clubs will be joined by the respective winners of the AFC Champions League, CAF Champions League and the South American Copa Libertadores.

Media accreditation for written press, photographers and non-rights holder media managed through the FIFA Media Channel.

Please note that the media accreditation process for any FIFA competition involves two steps:

1. Register for access to the FIFA Media Channel by logging on to: http://media.fifa.com/registration.

You will then receive confirmation that you have granted access to the FIFA Media Channel.

2. Once you have received your username and password, or if you already registered, log on to: http://media.fifa.com.

Select the Event “FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2018” and complete the online media accreditation form.

FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2018/Media Rights Licensees (MRLs)

There is a separate accreditation process for radio and television media rights licensees.

FIFA Media Channel

The FIFA Media Channel is FIFA’s online media centre, a password-protected website that updated constantly.

It is designed to provide media professionals with information on the latest event activities, including press conferences, team training sessions, details about competition media facilities and stadium media centres (SMCs), and media ticketing.

Visa information

Media representatives visiting UAE advised that they may require a visa to enter the country and responsible for making their own arrangements.
