ITTF Renews Sponsorshi​p Agreement

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) is excited to announce that it has renewed its long-standing sponsorship agreement with German consruction equipment manufacturer LIEBHERR. The deal was brokered by the ITTF’s Commercial Partner, TMS International.

LIEBHERR has been sponsoring ITTF’s World title events since 2003, and has been a fantastic support for the growth of table tennis globally.

CEO LIEBHERR Group Andreas Böhm stated: “LIEBHERR are glad that our successful cooperation with the ITTF is to continue. Table tennis enjoys a highly acceptable image and is therefore an ideal publicity medium for Liebherr. We support this clean sport as part of our social responsibility.”

The new deal entitles LIEBHERR to:

• Major sponsorship at the 2014 & 2015 World Table Tennis Championships

• Title sponsorship at the 2014 & 2015 Individual Men’s World Cup

• Major sponsorship at the 2015 World Team Classic

ITTF President Adham Sharara stated: “LIEBHERR has been a perfect sponsor for the ITTF over the past 10 years. They have supported our events tremendously and I am very happy that this partnership will be continued until at least 2015 and 5 additional events.”

TMS Marketing Director Anders Thunström who brokered the deal for ITTF added: “TMS is very happy to have the agreement with LIEBHERR extended until 2015. LIEBHERR have been a long-term partner to TMS and we will do our very best to continue earn their confidence and trust by mplementing LIEBHERR’s rights and continue give LIEBHERR excellent brand values”.

LIEBHERR is also the Title sponsor for the upcoming showcase event of the 2013 table tennis season, the LIEBHERR World Table Tennis Championships to be held in Paris, France on 13-20 May 2013, as well as a major sponsor at this months World Team Classic in Guangzhou, China on 28-31 March.
