MoAuba wins FIFA eWorld Cup title after thrilling conclusion to EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series

London, August 6, 2019: After three days of upsets, excitement, goals and drama, Mohamed ‘MoAuba’ Harkous from Germany has been crowned MoAuba wins FIFA eWorld Cup™ champion following a dramatic victory over Mosaad ‘Msdossary’ Aldossary at The O2 in London this evening.

In front of a live audience which included Lucy Bronze, Wilfred Zaha and Dimitar Berbatov, MoAuba secured a 3-2 aggregate victory over Xbox world number two, Msdossary.

Drawing 1-1 in the first leg on Xbox. MoAuba followed up with a champions performance securing a 2-0 victory on his favoured Playstation console in the second leg.

As well as lifting the coveted trophy, MoAuba also won a life-changing US$250,000 in prize money and an exclusive invitation to The Best FIFA Football Awards™ in Milan in September later this year.

Speaking after winning the title, Mohamed ‘MoAuba’ Harkous, FIFA eWorld Cup™ Champion said: “Winning the FIFA eWorld Cup 2019 feels absolutely incredible, I can’t believe it.

The competition between players and at events this year has been a tough journey, so to win the trophy and become world champion against 32 of the world’s best FIFA players feels really special.”

With an increased prize money pool of over $500,000 available to the 32 finalists this year, the FIFA eWorld Cup 2019 was the final event of the season for the professional FIFA gaming community and featured the world’s best players from 15 countries including host nation England, Germany, Brazil and the USA.

Speaking on the action from the FIFA eWorld Cup 19, Adrian Roelli, Head of eFootball at FIFA, added:

Starting in October 2018, the Road to the FIFA eWorld Cup 2019 has included several new additions and competitions to the EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series, including the FIFA eNations Cup – a new team competition for member association that took place in April 2019 – as well as the EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series Rankings.

Reflecting upon the year of the EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series, EA SPORTS FIFA Competitive Gaming Deputy Commissioner, Sam Turkbas, said:
