FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ – Official FIFA Awards

Lyon, France, July 7, 2019: Carli Lloyd of the USA lifts the FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy following her team’s victory in the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019 Final match between The United States of America and The Netherlands at Stade de Lyon on July 07, 2019 in Lyon, France (Official FIFA Awards 2019).

Megan Rapinoe of USA was confirmed as the best player at the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ after the official awards were announced.

Rapinoe won the adidas Golden Ball which is awarded to the best player by the FIFA Technical Study Group (TSG). Lucy Bronze of England and Rose Lavelle of USA came second and third respectively.

The adidas Golden Boot was won by USA striker Megan Rapinoe, with six goals and three assists in 428 minutes played, narrowly edging out teammate and Silver boot winner Alex Morgan with an equal tally and 490 minutes played. The Bronze boot was awarded to Ellen White of England with six goals and no assists.

Netherlands’s goalkeeper Sari Van Veenendaal collected the adidas Golden Glove while Germany’s Giulia Gwinn took home the FIFA Young Player award. Hosts France were awarded the Fair Play award finishing first in the fair play contest.

The Golden Boot will be awarded to the player who scores the most goals in the final competition. If two or more players score the same number of goals, the number of assists shall be decisive. If two or more players are still equal after taking into account the number of assists, the total minutes played in the tournament will be taken into account, with the player playing fewer minutes ranked first. A Silver Boot and a Bronze Boot for the second and third-highest goal scorers will also be awarded.
