The Kingdom of Morocco will now present its vision to Member Associations at the Congress.

The Task Force‘s decision confirms the quality of the Moroccan bid book, which responds to new and exceptional requirements of FIFA. Moulay Hafid Elalamy, President of Morocco 2026 Bid Committee, said:

“Under the High Guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, we, as Moroccans, are all excited to qualify for this next stage of the process and be declared fit to organise the FIFA World Cup.

“We will now continue to present to voters our vision for Morocco 2026, and will aim to convince the majority of Member Associations to vote for our nation at FIFA Congress on June 13.

“In the coming days, we will continue our mission to demonstrate to FIFA and the entire football family, our ability to deliver a highly profitable and truly authentic FIFA World Cup – one that will leave a lasting legacy for the world of football.

“Morocco 2026 will be innovative, responsible and compact, meaning limited travel times between matches – a clear asset allowing players to excel on the pitch and fans to fully enjoy the event.

Football is part of our national identity and we can guarantee a magical, vibrant World Cup for players and fans in all of our host cities.”

Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) added:

“On 13 June, by choosing Morocco, the football family can make an historic choice, allowing FIFA to further develop football around the world and ensure its accessibility for all.

This choice will also allow FIFA to show the world that it triumphs the values of sport above all else, and that the World Cup is a window for inclusion and openness (Morocco 2026 Qualifies).

“Morocco is a country literally at the crossroads between Europe, Africa and the Arab world, symbolising a cultural bridge with global multiculturalism at its heart.

Hosting the FIFA World Cup in Morocco will send a strong message of tolerance and inclusion – that the World Cup is open to all.”
