Official FIFA Awards Women’s World Cup

Jordan, Oct 24, 2016: Korea DPR wins the FIFA U-17 trophy and Fuka NAGANO of Japan was confirmed by FIFA’s Technical Study Group (TSG) as the best player at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Jordan 2016 at the final whistle of the match between Korea DPR and Japan.

Fuka NAGANO (JPN) won the adidas Golden Ball, SUNG Hyang Sim (PRK) and Deyna CASTELLANOS (VEN) came second and third respectively.
The adidas Golden Boot was won by Lorena NAVARRO of Spain, adidas Silver Boot by RI Hae Yon of Korea DPR and the adidas Bronze Boot was awarded to Deyna CASTELLANOS of Venezuela.

Noelia RAMOS of Spain collected the adidas Golden Glove while Japan took the FIFA Fair Play Trophy.

The Golden Ball is awarded to the best player in the final competition on the basis of a ranking compiled by the FIFA Technical Study Group. A Silver Ball and a Bronze Ball are awarded to the second and third best players.

The Golden Boot is awarded to the player who scores the most goals in the final competition. If two or more players score the same number of goals, the number of assists played (as determined by members of the FIFA Technical Study Group) will be decisive. If two or more players are still equal after taking into account the number of assists, the total minutes played in the final competition will be taken into account, with the player playing fewer minutes ranked first. A Silver Boot and a Bronze Boot for the second and third highest goalscorers will also be awarded.

The FIFA Fair Play Trophy, a fair play medal for each Delegation Member, a diploma and a voucher for USD 10,000 worth of football equipment (to be used for women’s football development) will be presented to the team finishing first in the fair play contest.
