Doha – Qatar, May 07, 2013: The International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) would like to invite you to the opening press conference of the ICSS Expert Summit 2013.
The press conference will take place at the start of the two-day event which will bring together leading sport security practitioners to challenge current practices and push the boundaries of accepted knowledge in the field of sport security.
Date & Time Thursday 16th May 2013, 10am – 11am
Venue: Bundesministerium für Inneres Festsaal Minoritenplatz, 1010 Vienna – Austria.
Format: Press Conference begins – 10 a m
1 to 1 interviews with key speakers – 10.30 a m – 11 a m
Speakers at the press conference include:
• Sebastian Kurz, State Secretary for Integration, Federal Ministry of Interior, Austria
• Mohammed Hanzab, President of the ICSS
• Helmut Spahn, Executive Director of the ICSS
Interviews will take place with key spokespeople and selected representatives following the press conference. Please note Plenary and Working Group sessions will take place under Chatham House rules to ensure confidentiality and encourage open and candid debate, therefore not open to media
Topics that will be discussed at this year’s ICSS Expert Summit include security and safety considerations in sport stadia and fan management, defining current challenges in securing live sites and exploring the role of sport security and integrity in economic development.
