The Wilson ITF Junior Classic January

My first event in 2013 will be to the U18 ITF Grade 4 event in Salzburg, Austria for the Wilson ITF Junior Classic. Many parents and players have asked me to schedule in a European 1 week trip and after establishing a recent contact in Austria I’m able to secure some good cheap accommodation as well as the possibility of transport to and from the tournament site.

Benefits of this trip

• Qualifying and Main Draw are both a 64 Draw – there were byes in Qualifying last year and unranked players in the Main Draw

• Airport and hotel transfer to be arranged through a local coach to save money

• Accommodation in a good hotel from €23 per night including breakfast

• Flight costs are currently around £120 return from London

Kenya U18 ITF Tour: 25th January – 9th February 2013

Following the successful trips to Nairobi in 2011 and 2012 I will be returning next year for 2 U18 ITFs – the 1st event is a Grade 4 and then the 2nd event is a Grade 5. The two events are at the same club which is an old British Country Club and the hotel is on site.

I always have a lot of interest for this trip and I will be releasing the Trip Factsheet as soon as the Hotel get back to me with the confirmed room costs. Flight prices are currently around £670 but these will increase so we need to book early to save money.

Benefits of this trip:

• Both events are at the same club – save money on transfers and internal flights

• The hotel is on site and food at the restaurant is of a high standard

• In 2012 there were byes in qualifying for the Boy’s & Girl’s events in the first week!

• Experience Africa and see wildlife as soon as you step off the plane!

The first week out here in Kenya is now complete and Mia did very well to make the final of the girl’s doubles. In the final her and Nikita Dawda lost a good match to top seeds Valentina Kulikova from Russia and Jessica Simpson from South Africa 6-2, 6-4. —- ITC Tennis
