PSWF congress without three units

Karachi – Pakistan Jan 18, 2013: Three leading units are not taking part in 4th congress of Pakistan Sports Writers Federation which is started today (Friday 18th January 2013) in Peshawar, Pakistan.

Sports Journalists Association of Sindh (SJAS) and Rawalpindi/Islamabad Sports Journalists Association (RISJA) staged boycott against the illegal and unconstitutional steps taken by Secretary PSWF Amjad Aziz Malik.

Joint statement issued by SJAS secretary Ubaid Awan and President RISJA Nasir Aslam Raja, they said we are not supporting Amjad Malik act that who imposed suspension on Sindh Secretary and President without prior permission of PSWF executive. Committee and even disciplinary committee which is illegal, and he also involved rising parallel bodies in Sindh and Islamabad, according to PSWF constitution federation is bounded to support its affiliated units rather then parallel body or persons.

Secretary PSWF didn’t invited RISJA and SJAS but he invited some persons from Sindh and as well as from Islamabad which is unconstitutional according to the laws of Pakistan Sports Writers Federation. Said units advised to its members stay away from the illegal activities, Balochistan Sports Writers Association also is not travel to Peshawar having some reasons member units are demanding to President PSWF he should take notice and stopped illegal activities. In the absence of three units of five units, congress and its decisions also could be questionable.
