Aleem & Rashid knocked Doubles Title in 6th National Tenpin Bowling

Islamabad, Press Release Oct 29, 2011: Aleem Agha & Rashid of Sindh knocked Doubles Title in 6th National Tenpin Bowling Championship played at Mega zone Bowling Club, Islamabad.

Sindh conquered the first TITLE of “Doubles Event” due to the victorious performances by Aleem Agha & Rashid Ali from Sindh secure 1st position with total combined score 761 and 192.25 average score; While M. Ali Shah and Faisal Malik got 2nd position with 700 total combined pins dropped and  175.0 average.

Final Rounds of Open Singles are yet to be played in which Defending Champion Rashid Ali of Sindh is on lead.

“I congratulate Sindh Squad for showing immense performance and outstanding skills of the bowling by winning the First Title for Sindh. I am hopeful with player to bring back the National TITLE once again” Romis Ali, General Secretary, STBA.

DAY-1:

Rashid Ali of Sindh is leading the 6th National Tenpin Bowling Championship 2011 played at Megazone Bowling Club, F-9 Park, Islamabad.

Chief Guest Hanif Abbasi, who inaugurated the championship, said while addressing on the occasion, “I have a special place for sports in my heart and that is why I’m working with all might to promote sports activities in Rawalpindi.

1st round of Master Singles event competition was played yesterday in which Rashid Ali from Sindh stood at first with Average score 197.8. While Aftab  from Islamabad got second with average score 186.4, zafar iqbal from Islamabad 183.8, malik from isb 183.8, ijaz ur Rehman from Isb 177.6, saqib from isb 175.0, kahalid Butt from isb 173.2,  Aleem Agha from Sindh 172.4, Saleem Baig from isb 173.2, and M.H. Chatta from Isb 171,6

PTBF vice-president Aleem Agha on the occasion said, that the purpose of this championship is to make this game popular among the youngsters, so that they participate at international level and bring laurels to the country. The matches of the event will be played today.
